If you want something beyond pumpkin pie during pumpkin season, these muffins will do the trick. My junior high students make these muffins and ask to make them again and again.
Sometimes I have an apple that is in the greatest of shape or is not my favourite variety. That's when I use them to make these muffins which are the right combination of sweet and wholesome.
Pitas go well with everything, especially Greek food. So why buy pitas when you can make your own?
Yield: 8 pita rounds
1 cup hot water, but not boiling
2 tsp active dry yeast
2 1/2 -3 cups flour
2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp olive oil
