Sometimes I have an apple that is in the greatest of shape or is not my favourite variety. That's when I use them to make these muffins which are the right combination of sweet and wholesome.

Sometimes you just need a little more chocolate with your banana, these muffins hit the chocolate sweet spot.

These are the infamous muffins that my mother-in-law makes. Once many years ago, I promised to save the last one for Matt but gobbled down anyway because they're so good. He found me in full chipmunk cheek mode, trying to eat the evidence.

If you want something beyond pumpkin pie during pumpkin season, these muffins will do the trick. My junior high students make these muffins and ask to make them again and again.

My students made these lovely little New Orleans style doughnuts a little late for Mardi Gras but we loved them anyway! The class did them over two days but you can do it all in one if you have the time.
