Ingredients

1 pounds beef round steak, cut into thin strips (or other meat)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoons liquid smoke
1 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoons salt
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon lemon juice or vinegar
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon paprika

Directions

  1. Partially freeze meat to make slicing easier.
  2. Cut beef into thin strips, approx. 1/8 inch thick and place in the bottom of a large bowl.
  3. Pour soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, brown sugar, salt, pepper, lemon juice or vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika over beef.
  4. Mix to assure all the meat is evenly coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight
  5. Remove meat from bowl and place between and arrange the meat strips on the tray of a dehydrator and dry at your dehydrator's highest setting until done to your liking, at least 4 hours.
  6. Store in an airtight container or resealable bags
